My practice entails hands-on Jin Shin Jyutsu® sessions in combination with Breathwork and Self-Care guidance. In addition to gaining relief from acute and chronic physical concerns, my clients experience greater mental clarity and emotional equilibrium that facilitates a personal transformation and an empowered approach to their own health and wellbeing. I also provide remote wellness consultations and sessions, which are equally effective.  In both instances, patients enjoy a one on one, personalized approach.

Self-care is an integral part of Jin Shin Jyutsu®. I am a certified Jin Shin Jyutsu® Self-Care Instructor and provide topical and self-care workshops designed for professionals, businesses, schools, hospitals and various interest groups.

ABOUT JIN SHIN JYUTSU®

Often referred to as acupuncture without the needles, Jin Shin Jyutsu® is an ancient healing art and that uses light touch on various energy centers in the body to calm the nervous system, elicit relaxation and facilitate harmony and balance in the body and mind. Jin Shin Jyutsu® has been shown to relieve pain, alleviate acute and chronic conditions, eliminate stress and fatigue, promote optimal immune function, improve sleep and digestion, and create emotional equilibrium among other health and wellness concerns.

In addition to gaining relief from acute and chronic physical concerns, my patients experience greater mental clarity and emotional equilibrium that facilitates a personal transformation and an empowered approach to their own health and wellbeing.

WHAT IS A JIN SHIN JYUTSU® SESSION LIKE?

During a Jin Shin Jyutsu® session you remain clothed and lay face-up on a cushioned table. After a personalized assessment and listening to the energy pulses in the wrists, I employ hands-on harmonizing sequences or "flows," appropriate for unblocking energetic pathways and restoring harmony and balance.​


A "flow" is a series of hand placement combinations that stimulates the circulation of energy along a given pathway. There are many such pathways in the body, each with a distinct function and essence. Patients most commonly experience deep relaxation.


At the end of each session I provide my clients with a simple self-help flow or set of flows unique to them that they can adopt and integrate into their health and wellness routine. The experience of Jin Shin Jyutsu® is unique to each person during each session.

JIN SHIN JYUTSU® SELF-CARE & TOPICAL WORKSHOPS

Learn how to boost your immune system, reduce stress and anxiety, eliminate fatigue, manage pain and recovery, improve sleep and more in a Jin Shin Jyutsu® Self Care workshop.


Jin Shin Jyutsu® SELF-CARE workshops introduce a series of hands-on applications that participants can easily learn and apply to enhance their general health and well-being.


Jin Shin Jyutsu® SELF-CARE practice addresses harmony of total being and can be introduced in a workshop setting for large and small groups.


Jin Shin Jyutsu® SELF-CARE can also be tailored to address specialty topics, such as stress reduction, pain management, recovery, and mental and emotional well-being. Jin Shin Jyutsu® SELF-CARE compliments and integrates with other mind-body practices, such as yoga, meditation and breathwork.

JIN SHIN JYUTSU@ SELF-CARE WORKSHOPS

Jin Shin Jyutsu® Self-Care is an easy-to-learn, energetic, mind-body-spirit practice that uses a combination of breathwork and light touch. This dynamic practice is used in hospitals, schools, companies and other institutional settings.

Jin Shin Jyutsu® Self-Care and topical workshops are experiential. Michael, a certified Jin Shin Jyutsu® Practitioner and Self-Care Instructor, will introduce Jin Shin Jyutsu® philosophy and guide you and your group through simple, restorative exercises to use on yourself and others. Learn how to reduce stress, relax the nervous system, rejuvenate, and achieve a greater sense of balance, harmony and personal well-being.    


OBJECTIVES:

- Attendees gain a basic understanding and appreciation of Jin Shin Jyutsu® and Jin Shin Jyutsu® Self Care
- Attendees learn simple, yet effective Self Care techniques that they can integrate into their daily routine

WORKSHOP EXAMPLES

Workshop: Balancing our Emotions with our Fingers.  It is understood that there are 144,000 body functions in our fingers. In JSJ we associate each of the 5 fingers with a particular Emotion or "Attitude", including Worry, Fear, Anger, Grief, and Pretense.  Additionally, these emotions are associated with energies in the body that affect us physically and mentally. In this class I provide an introduction and overview of these concepts while leading students through 5 corresponding self-care sequences that harmonize and bring into balance these 5 emotions.


Workshop: Harmonize from Head to Toe: The Main Central Vertical.  The Main Central Vertical is a 6 step sequence that is relaxing, all-encompassing and brings harmony and balance to the whole person.  In this class I provide an introduction and overview of the Main Central Vertical sequence while leading students through the 6 step sequence.

MORE WORKSHOP EXAMPLES

Workshop: A Daily Practice for Harmony and Balance:  Learning the Mediator and Supervisor Self-Care Sequence. The Mediator and Supervisor Self-Care Sequence works with the Main Central Vertical self-care sequence to help keep one in balance and harmony.  In this class I provide an introduction and overview of the Mediator and Supervisor Self-Care sequence while leading students through the 3 part sequence.


Workshop: A Daily Practice for General Energy Revitalization. There are 3 Self-Care sequences that are recommended as a daily practice for revitalizing and maintaining one's energy, supporting one's ability to manage stress, boost the immune system and maintain general health.  In this class I provide an introduction and overview of the Spleen, Stomach and Bladder self-care sequences, while leading students through the exercises.

REMOTE JIN SHIN JYUTSU® CONSULTATIONS & SESSIONS

It is best when remote clients book their sessions for a time when they are able to sit or lie down undisturbed for 30 minutes. Remote sessions often begin with a pre-session chat by Zoom, phone or text. This can occur either immediately before a session or at a time separate from the session. 


I will text you to let them know I am about to begin.  Similar to an in-person session, after listening to the energy pulses, I employ a set of harmonizing sequences or "flows," appropriate for unblocking energetic pathways and restoring harmony and balance. I then send you a 2nd text letting you know that the session is complete.


Following each session I connect with the you by Zoom, phone or email for a 10-20 minute post-session consultation at a convenient time.  I work with you to design a simple, yet effective self-help practice unique to your needs that you can adopt and integrate into your health and wellness routine.
